The joint band: National Supreme Champions Record Five consecutive years 2001-2005

The joint band was formed in 1976 and has entered the National Band Competition every year having won the supreme championship for five consecutive years.

The band have played at many Cricket Test matches including the 'best test match' ashes victory at Edgbaston, entertaining the crowd at the lunch time breaks.

The band undertake a yearly trip to different locations around the UK, mixing practices with playing to the crowds at some exotic locations including Stormaont, Houses of Parliament, outside the Royal Yaught Britannia and Edinborough castle.

Over the years the band have played a large variety of music including many well known pop tunes as well as the more traditional marching tunes.

These are all put together when the band leads various parades inc. the Battalion Parade, Burntwood Uniformed Youth Remembrance Parade and Lichfield District St. Georges Parade.

Band polo shirts are available to purchase now from the the Brigades joint band. The polo shirts are navy blue with an olympic ring symbol representing our 5 National Band Contest Wins.

Also available are Band Hoodies, similar front logo with a name of your choice on the back, both Polo shirts and hoddies are worn by the band and parents and supportors to all competitions so if you want a Polo shirt to show your support for the Joint Band then please let us know!
